Is there a rifle you wish you 'd never got rid of?

There are 2: one was the perfect bush "pig"- a Ruger 44 carbine semi auto 4 shot in .44 Magnum. 6 lbs in weight,18.5 inch barrel, 37 inches overall, they don't come much shorter or lighter. Walked onto a group of 4 pigs in open forest, dumped 3 in 2 seconds, literally. Then came across a mob of 8 pigs feeding close together, and dumped 4 in a similar time. I had that beauty for 40 years and it took pride of place on my gunrack, but Aunty Jacinda took a fancy to it, so I graciously handed it over.

The other was a Remington Mohawk in .308, bolt action, 5.5 lbs in weight, 18.5 inch barrel, 37 inches overall (note the similarity?) and more accurate than a really, really accurate rifle. Why did I sell it? Don't know! Dumb decision.

I’ve always struggled selling my precious’s, however I have alway regretted not buying one particular rifle, I love history, I have enjoyed collecting Enfields esp ones with a NZ story to tell, also have a soft spot for 308’s so some 10 years ago had a chance at a converted K98, Israeli marked 308 still with Waffen marking, owwwww the history and irony of that rifle, and like a twat I decided not to get it, twat!

My Sako 75 Hunter Stainless 308. It was my first rifle I bought for myself. Sold it to chase aspirations with other calibers. Wish I had kept it.

Nope, but have a couple I will probably never sell:
Winchester M94 Trapper, IIRC about 33.5 inches long. Only had it for 34 years, and my father has called dibs if I ever decide to sell it.
Brno ZKK601 308 in a fibreglass stock, just too damn accurate to sell.

None voluntarily. The rifles I have are improvements on what I had, so selling/trading what I did has never been an issue.

I miss my NEA 15 DMR though.
