There is no real world difference, between the two calibers, out to beyond sensible field hunting ranges. I have had my .2506 longer and have racked up more kills,my kimber is a Mountain rifle, 5 lbs 2 oz all up, I like it, but its not suppressed, and the 2506 is, so I use them for different tasks.
Unless you need, a heavier projectile, then the .260 has the advantage.
Pretty much any advantages would be for the .260, run heavier bullets, short action, for weight and preform better with a shorter barrel, good selection of suitable high BC bullets, biggest disadvantage is likely, limited factory ammo choices.
Do you reload ?, If the only factory ammo you can get, is the Remington 120g accutip, federal 120gr barnes tsx and std Nosler 120g b-tip loads, this is the only ammo I can find for .260 in store within 500km of here. I think Nosler has custom, with a 130gr accubond.
You may be better off sticking with the .2506 as its pushing a 110-120gr bullet of similer BC, quite a bit faster. unless you can hand load, to take advantage of the 130-140gr weights in .260.
If I had to pick, one cal over the other, I would take the .260.
