I have taken possession of a sako 75, looking at getting a suppressor for it but I'm not sure about the current thread. It's close to 1/2x20 but a little too big.
Diameter of the thread is 12.9mm. Seems like about 1 thread per mm. My guess was 14x1 as I was told it was the factory thread but I cant find much info on the sako website about threaded barrels.
Any ideas?

13x1 by the look of it, male thread OD is usually a little undersize, otherwise it would bind. At 14x1 it would have to be around 0.044" undersize.
Go to blacks and buy a couple of nuts and see what works :thumbsup:
Tried that at mitre 10 today but their selection is limited. Blacks might be the way to go.Quote:

13x1 thread is for a smaller stainless barrel like 260 rem
Can send you a 13x1 thread protector to test? Sounds like M13x1 to me.
