    thread protector

    hi I want a thread protector made for my rifle one problem is its an odd thread it appears to be 11x1 any one able to do this I expect to pay for the services cheers

    Gunworks do.
    They even have Tardme auction for thread protectors, but go direct to them.

    thanks I emailed another suppressor guy but none of above and it was going to be to hard ill keep you in mind tommy if I cant get something off the shelf local is going to be easiest as whoever can do it would want to have a look and see for sure what it is

    Or pop down to your nearest engineering (nuts and bolts) supplier. And get a single nut the right size. Works well. You can even usually get stainless for a very small price....Even in odd ball threads.

    what timattalon said , if you can find a nut with the right thread , ... turn it down in a lathe , add knurling and boom , thread protector !!!!

    It would be better to wrap some #8 around the thread and rub back to shape with some sand soap Thats how a real Kiwi would do it anyway
