They even have Tardme auction for thread protectors, but go direct to them.

thanks I emailed another suppressor guy but none of above and it was going to be to hard ill keep you in mind tommy if I cant get something off the shelf local is going to be easiest as whoever can do it would want to have a look and see for sure what it is

Pop in to Alan Reid engineering in wairau. Real good bugger, loves having a yarn about hunting and well priced.

Or pop down to your nearest engineering (nuts and bolts) supplier. And get a single nut the right size. Works well. You can even usually get stainless for a very small price....Even in odd ball threads.
what timattalon said , if you can find a nut with the right thread , ... turn it down in a lathe , add knurling and boom , thread protector !!!!
It would be better to wrap some #8 around the thread and rub back to shape with some sand soap :D Thats how a real Kiwi would do it anyway :PQuote:

its a weird size and set up if your not familier with this type of rifle its got a skinny barrel with a sleeve over it at the moment its got a suppressor screwed on to hold the sleeve on I took the springs and cups out of the suppressor just in case using hv caused something to go out of line inside it but would just like a protector on there instead ive got a couple on guns on the go so its good to get ideas between projectsQuote:
