    Threading a barrel for Suppressor.

Just ordered a DPT suppressor for a Remington SPS Tactical .308 and was a little unsure which thread to choose.

I guess some options will be more common than others?

My muzzle measures in at 21.53mm and after doing a quick Google to see what other people had used i couldn't find much apart from one guy who went with 5/8 x 24

    Any advise on this please?

M18x1, that is what I use on my rem varmint barrels. It leaves enough shoulder to tighten against and does not chew up to much of the barrel so as not to have an impact on barrel internal dimensions near the muzzle.

Get the suppressor first and give it to the machinist so he can machine the thread to the right tolerances of the suppressors thread? If he's any good the fit will be perfect. Just had a Gunworks unit fitted to my 17 beaut fit!

This is what I was thinking too but I'm glad I didn't or the suppressor would not fit my barrel. After talking to the guy from DPT I'll go with 18/1
