    Threading a fluted rifle

    I can't seem to find the anwser to the above question.
    If I want to chop my T3 down into the fluted part and have it threaded for a DPT is that fine?

    yes theoretically you can provided the flutes arent deeper than the minor thread depth.

    whether the gunsmith will do it for you is another question

    Yes, it's done every week. Most often 14x1 is the thread used on fluted tikka/Sako barrels chopped down.
