you DONT make hole bigger...you make bolt smaller..... and you dont need to thread it..slip fit and glued in place was my thoguht...if your internal diameter isnt big enough to fit a bolt of say 9mm diameter...you going to struggle to drill 6-7mm hole through it. but Friwi has offered to help.....so you have option to sort it.
