Tiger troubles anyone ? I have the solution

So who has a tiger problem ?
I now have the solution for you

Sadly they are shot out in my current location
Happy to travel to the other island

Greener 577-500 #2 hammer double rifle

Case capacity is sufficient at about 140 grains of BP

First attempt at getting it shooting is 125 grains 1.5 FG Black Powder and a 450 grain bullet.
Shooting just a bit wide at 50m

I am limiting my test sessions to 2 shots and will try 130 grains next to hopefully nudge them closer together

But quite pleased with that for a starter

    So before you ask.
Recoil is as you would expect from a rifle just below 10 pounds

But actually less than intimidated with the 450 grainers.

Bullet was clear of muzzle before the rifle recoiled and lifted significantly

And muzzle lift was pretty manageable and I let it push me back rather than try and fight it

Why did I buy this Double when I'm a Single Rifle guy ?

    Both bores are 100% perfect
I'm mean the best 133 year old bores you will ever see

    6 groove Metford rifling
    28" long
    Choked bores
    .514" groove at the breech
    .508" groove at the muzzle
The .510" sized Bullet obturates up easily and being pure lead and PC seems to like the choked bores

All you need now is a matching howdah pistol for those close up tigers .

    Actually NO
I'm not as stupid as you look !

One at a time is quite enough and two shots at a target in a session is also enough

Tiger and Leopard are still being shot every year in India, so there is hope

    Treble wedge fast action

    Mechanically 100% perfect

I brought it because they are the best bores you will ever seen
And it is the biggest British 500 they made.
    I'm a 500 guy so a 577-500 #2 Express was a good fit

Saw a guy accidentally "double" shoot with a 470 NE double rifle one time. Ouch, big time ! His forehead was a bit of a bloody mess.
The rifle had two triggers which he unintentionally pulled simultaneously.

You just need to let someone twice your size to test fire it to really see how it performs
    Cough cough
    Hint hint
