Thread: Tikka 1" Optilock ring mount height

Trying to find out the actual height of these rings to see if my scope will fit (z3 3 - 10 x 42 with a scope cap so ~54mm diameter at the objective end) - I found this chart (posted on here a few years back) which seems to indicate 27mm from the bottom? of the mount to the centre of the scope tube. Can anyone confirm the height measured from the top of the receiver to either the bottom or centre of the scope tube? I am thinking these might be a bit low for what I need ...

Are you using the ones with bases or the ones like these?

Lows with a 3-10x42. 4-5mm clearance right at the very end

One piece ring mounts as in your picture so thanks for that Looks like it's going to very tight if not too tight - the scope caps add a couple of mm to the diameter and it's not the front of the objective that's the issue it's further back where the barrel is a bit thicker.

Yea its very close further back under the tape so unfortunately I doubt it would work. Glad I could help, is a gamble sometimes without a real example!

Seems the tape you have wrapped around the objective adds 1 or 2mm?


But, there would be no way to fit a x50mm objective using these rings?
