The 1-8 works great with the 75 Amax
1000yds is fun, 1500yds is getting interesting, 2000yds is exciting, 2500yds will blow your mind

If you think you will ever want to shoot the 69sp or higher BC pills for game or LR varminting etc get the 1-8.

    I've even shot 80gn SMK through my 1 in 8" .223.
They grouped fine, even seated to fit the mag, so go the 1 in 8" twist.

Why restrict yourself.1/8. Now own 3 of them. Some are dedicated i.e 53 gr Sierra ,63 gr Sierra and 62 gr Barnes. They are "all" highly necessary.
