Looks standard length to me, should be 1" from the face to the shoulder.
Has anyone tried screwing a t3 barrel into a sako 75 action? Sorry for the hijack 25/08IMP
That Tikka barrel looks normal to me. Bill999, the newer Sako 75's have a different thread 1.5 than the Tikka's 1.6.
@ohearchai is that the 85 you are refering to?
Do you know at whatyear they started the change?
I'm primed and ready to buy and screw in a different caliber to my sako 75 it will be a shame if the barrel I get doesn't fit
@ChrisW another sako question

I was lead to believe that the Tikkas here in the States anyways, are imperial 1x16tpi, my trg was m27x1.5mm. A friends Sako was m24x1.5mm.
can anyone confirm or deny this tikka/sako 75 barrel interchangeability?
I had a tikka barrel screwed into a sako 85 action and a 308 trg barrel screwed into a tikka 590.
Dont know if that helps
