Thread: Tikka barrel

Does anyone know if a T3 thread is the same as a Tikka 690.

and yep they screw in but the caliber stamp doesn't line up

Did you get that tikka 690 that was on TM today? That was a good buy at that price. A bit heavy but super rigid action.

Thread should be 1"x16 TPI but maybe not as long as the t3 thread.

I cannot see any logical reason why the thread would be different between two very similar Tikka models. I have fitted many Tikka barrels to Sako's, faced them to line up the caliber stamping, then tickled out the chamber to get correct headspace.
