    Tikka serial numbers

    Out of interest does anyone know why some tikka barrels have serial numbers stamped an some just have the caliber stamped. Have acquired a rem mag barrel an its has numbers an caliber stamped but on the oppsite side to my other rem mag barrel which doesn't have a serial number.
