But entertaining it is!! Im just here to watch the sour old buggers hate on my tikka In all seriousness, I really admire the amount of time spent and effort exerted to spread this weak anti tikka propaganda. We owe a lot to these guys actually.. No one wants a firearm manufacturing monopoly, as we can all agree, the variety is beautiful. So here's to all the upstream swimmers who settle for second best! LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY TIKKA
By law, you are required to turn on your headlights if it's raining in Sweden.

How the hell am I supposed to know if it's raining in Sweden?

Yes it is, Look at what's been achieved.
1- A Beretta company rep has saw, joined , answered, and may stay for a while
2- According to him there seems to be no barrier to a, lets call it a fit and proper independent retailer to have an account and sell Beretta NZ gear, this is of course ongoing.
3- Older Tikka T3's will seize up in March and will be worth less or more depending who your talking to.
5- Carlson has again come in , disrupted the thread, but this time only one person has gone along with the hijack.
6 - You have read it all the way through and formed an opinion, which after all is what a forum is about.

If my production meetings at work produced as much value as this thread we would have then twice a day instead of just in the mornings.

Tikkas are the Toyota Corolla of the rifle world. Reliable, conformist, bland.

Hehe notice my sarcasm. they are definitely second rate to a sako! But I would be more inclined to say they are for those seeking value, not necessarily the poor. (think howa or cheap Remingtons). Just stirring the pot.. I've handled many finer a gun than the mighty tikka. I just can't afford any of em

    @TheJanitar.
    I have owned many fine Tikka's, M55, M590, 595, 695 among them.
In it's day the M55, apart from the factory offered mag, was the equivalent of any Sako.

Which is probably why they bought them out.

The other weekend, 2 shots from a tikka (6.5 - it was 93 , it needed 95, clicks on the scope. ), and onto 12in. steel at 700, 30 shots later the sako 338LM hit it.

I fully agree that the supply chain $ model is screwed, but the end product is pretty good.

To Sidney etc - you guys need to think about things more, I have a long involvement in supply chains. In NZ we pay extra for a range of stuff e.g. fuel and building materials so if you want to be reamed like those sectorsfo yo consumers for your firearms purchases then I'd say you are the nieve ones. Our local H&F is fine and I buy stuff there. However it's my choice where I spend my $ .
Well Mr supply chain expert, how come you don't understand about agency, business strategy, exclusivity, bulk supply agreements and distributor choice? Of course that is discounting the possibility that your dealer mate may not actually have an account and may be casting blame so that he doesn't embarrass himself?

That's why you can afford to put a 4k scope on a tikka!
Me thinks a clever firearms buyer buys tikkas!
