    Tikka T1x -stainless????

As most of you would have noticed it appears these are now available on the NZ market (in blued synthetic)

I am thinking of up grading my existing 17HMR.

Has anyone been advised/understand/had confirmation as to whether a stainless version will be released at some stage?

    Google is not that helpful...

Can be patient if I absolutely have to (and would prefer stainless to match my 3 other T3’s)...

    Thanks,
    Ben

I have my t1x and loving it.
Pretty even with the lithgow for finish and accuracy I reckon.
Will keep both and the kids can fight over them when I'm gone!

Don't believe there has been any official announcement, I think you would be waiting a long time as Tikka is flat out producing the current model.

I too have one and it's awesome, all my other rimfires have been blued steel so I wasn't too worried about stainless or not.

As far as im aware (I work for Beretta) there is no Stainless T1x in the pipeline.
It may eventually happen, but if it did it would probably be a matter of years till they hit the market.

I am not aware of any plans for Left Hand T1x's. That of course does not mean its not going to happen, it just means im not currently aware of any plans for it as yet.
I would think it will happen at some point.

@andyanimal31 how are you finding the accuracy? Is it .22 or .17?

Have been trying different ammo and seems to like cci standard the best.
    And it's the .22 with 16'' barrel

OK but what about accuracy? Group sizes? I’ve seen some mixed results on various forums and YouTube. When it’s good it’s very good but not all rifles seem to like that same ammo which is one of those conundrums that seem to crop up from time to time. Some of the accuracy tests have been pretty ordinary.

I’ll wait till they do bring out a stainless all weather model, all I want to do is shoot it lots and put it back in the safe. My days are over having to clean blued steel after every trip. The stainless Ruger 10/22 just get thrashed and may get cleaned every 2k or when it starts to fail to eject.

@Flyblown shot this target couple of days ago.
Have put about 120 rounds through my 16" 22 now, accuracy keeps on improving.
