Got the go ahead for a neat little Tikka rimfire combo. What’s everyone feeding theirs, subsonic wise?
I’m guessing CCI and Winchester are the pretty normal contenders. Will just be used for pests out to 100m
Cheers

CCI and Winchester both shoot about the same in mine.
The Winchester shoots same POI as CCI standard velocity (which is a lot more accurate) so I shoot the 42gr Win subs for hunting purposes.
CCI SV solids are slightly more accurate than CCI SV Hollow Point in mine
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
American Winchester all right (2” group)mine doesn’t like CCI or Fiocchi shots like 6” groups at 100 metres.
Small amount of Aussie manufactured subs shoot .75-1” groups.
Forgot that’s a 16” version
16 inch version here, .22 Winchester 42 grain subs.
Eley subs a bit more accurate around 50m, but around the 100m mark the Winchesters shine.
Supposedly out of production but I have enough for now.
Seem to be loads still in the UK.
CCI segmented subs in my 16" T1x. One hole 10 round groups at 25m.
Shoot this type of ammo due to the reduced risk of richochet for bullets passing through animals / misses. Not cheap, but means I get to shoot on more properties, so worth it in my book. They tend to make quite the mess of an animal if shot from close range, and tend to have more kills than standard CCI subs at longer ranges due to the 3 petals splaying out in the animal, leaving 3 wound channels.
Rarely shoot past 70M, as I do most of my shooting at night, and just walk closer if required.
