Tikka T3 barrel onto Sako .308 All action ?

Tikka T3 barrel onto Sako .308 All action ?

is it a painless changeover or is there some fiddling around to make it work, anyone had experience ?

Do you mean a7 action ?

I'm getting a tikka barrel put on my sako a1 was told it was straight forward if that helps cheers

I recently had a finnlight barrel put on my a7 it was very straight forward, even timed up without having to muck around wjth it, less than 1hr of gunsmithing including threading and checking head space. Can't see a tikka barrel being any different

Yeah a Tikka barrel will go on to an AII action without too much fuss. @Dreamer has had it done before.

Was that the 7mm08 barrel? I was eyeing that up for same reason

260 varmint Tikka barrel on TM with 100 shots thru it . . . would have been good in the Sako All Varmint project rifle i have, as long as there was no fcking aroung with fitting, machine time etc

In future you should be able to check the thread size on the chamber end online.

Depending on the thread you may have to cut it off. Re thread and re chamber but I would hazard a guess and say that it would no longer be cost effective over a new barrel.

There is a 260 t3 superlite bbl on trademe for 300 at the moment
