Hi all, I'm contemplating giving the 180gr projectiles a go in my rem mag but will be wanting to be able to mag feed them if I go down that track, what bottom metals are people running to allow the use of aics type mags to achieve longer coal from mag?
Get a T3x magazine and remove the steel lip at the end. Gives you some more room. Failing that I think atlasworx do a floor plate for aftermarket mags. I almost went that route but don’t like how they all protrude and don’t sit flush with the stock.
Most people will run an atlas works or china knock off.

I brought a no name brand one from a $1 res auction from Guncity. I think they might not be doing them anymore.
Just be careful what size magazine well you go with.
There is 3.56" or 3.715" length magazines (outside). MDT chassis for Tikka run the shorter ones but that atlas works bottom metal says it runs the longer ones. Sorry i cant remember that the knock off one was.
I ended up going short action ACIS pattern instead of seating out longer for the 260rem.
You will need to inlet the bottom of the sotck for it.
