    Tikka T3 Carbon Fibre stocks

I have a Sentor stock that is cracking through the recoil lug and getting ‘mushy’ under the front action screw causing the screw extend into the action and bind on the bolt. Probably need to replace it.

What other options are there in NZ, unfortunately I need one asap so that probably rules out Stug.

Anyone seen a Greg Duley/NZ Hunter one, other options?

    Cheers,
    Hayden

Kiwi composites are very very nice but aren't cheap.

Is that the 'NZ Hunter' one?

Any idea where I could have a look at one in CHCH?

Pretty sure it is. Duley's ones $1250.00 from memory and available at H&F stores apparently. I had a look at a Duley Remington one the other night, which I'm sure is the same thing different bedding profile....really nice!

They are based in Cambridge. I spent a fair bit of time checking these out at Sika show, very quality product IMO. Looking at ordering one later this month for my T3x Superlite.

Mate - @Hayden C if its a Left hand and you are going to bin it let me know or if you are going to bin it fullstop!!

I'd putting a couple of pillars in and getting it repaired by one of the composites outfits up here.
A bit of a long shot - but have you thought of taking it to Killwels if they are still building any rods locally or similar outfits in TGA they'd have the gear and the right skill levels to lay in the posts it looks like you need cut out replace and reinforce for the area concerned.
    Smiddy and Tommy like this.

Give Ken H a call, he's on here, user name 300MAG. His stocks are very nice, finished much nicer than any of the others I have seen. I have one on a Rem700 actioned rifle and have just sent my Sako away to be fitted to one also. He uses full aluminium bedding blocks for the Tikka and Remington ones also which are rock solid

I'll second that, I have one of Ken's on my T3. However the only minor dislike is that the barrel channel is basically straight and not contoured to suit barrel and there is quite a gap, even on my #4 profile. Duley's I think are based on original profile, though I could be corrected on this.

I have one sat at my place in ChCh that you could have a look at (Classic Hunter), but will probably be away working until the end of the month, so depends if you are in a rush.

They make the stocks and carbon wrap the Hardy barrels, there is one of their stocks in H&F at Tower Junction if you want to get your hands on one to take a look but think it is their Best of the west model.
