What would concern me about the Kiwi Composites/NZ Hunter ones would be the construction methods used, the actual carbon fibre layer on the one I had was very thin and looked as if it could peel or chip away from the foam (or whatever that white stuff is!) as it is basically just a shell, the barrel channel is not lined with carbon fibre and the same all the way along the leading edges, the layup was very nice but I don't think it would take many knocks before tears would be shed

Ken Henderson's ones have a full carbon forend & as mentioned an alloy bedding block.

IIRC he is Hardy's new stock supplier.

I think Stu has halved his lead times....it's more like 3 months now. Still a good wait but heck, they're half the price of the NZ hunter stocks.

You do know you're missing a few (quite crucial) components on 75% of all those stocks aye

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

The NZ Hunter stock are the pick of the bunch
They are made by Kiwi Composites and look better finished than a McMillan hunters edge

Thinking of getting a stug as well, so affordable, been around long enough to be tested and proven
