Thread: Tikka T3X Aspire vrs standard T3X? are barreled actions/ magazines interchangeable

Can anyone tell me what the differences are between a Tikka T3X and the Aspire model? basically have both models in the calibre I like (7mm08) Side by side but I don't like fluted barrels. Want to shorten barrel.. can I swap out the actions/barrels ? Will the aspire mag fit in Standard T3X?

Identical apart from the Aspire has a different colour stock with screw on cheek riser and a fluted barrel. Everything is interchangeable

Wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to buy a standard T3X and then acquire an Aspire stock if that's what you really want? If you were willing to compromise on calibre, you can buy a factory .308 model with a 16" barrel, making the process even more straightforward.

I recently brought a tikka aspire 300 wsm, i did not want fluted barrel. my local shop ordered a standard lite model and just swapped over the stocks. Don't think they even charged me extra. My aspire stock may be for sale soon as going to be looking at a carbon stock.
