Thread: Tikka T3X Stock

Hi team,

I was removing my standard tikka stock this morning to replace with a Ken Henderson stock.
When I removed the factory stock a small plastic piece fell out. Does anybody have an idea where it has come from?

Never seen one fall out of any Tikka I owned and I’ve had a few.
How did that Ken Henderson work out?

I can’t get home to use mine now.... will have to wait another 12 months......

The Ken Henderson stock is nice. It was originally inletted for a hardy carbon barrel so there a 3mm - 4mm gap between the barrel and stock. Not to sure what to do I about that yet but I got it for a good price.

Yeah, has me beat. Wondering if it is a foreign object that has slipped into the barrel channel. Cheers for your help.

If you aren't worried about the ascetics just leave it. You may get a bit of shit in the barrel channel but then it will be easier to get out too.

That looks like the end off a buckle. The kind that clips together on a pack etc. How long is it?

Any ideas on filling in the barrel channel on the Ken Henderson stock? Small amount of black Bedding Compound? or sell it and by one to suit?

Yeah not to worried about aesthetics, more worried of shit getting jammed in there but yes should be easier to get out. Thanks

I think you may be onto something, its 13mm long. I will have to check my pack later. cheers

I got myself a Ken Henderson stock same as yours a few weeks ago with the same wider barrel channel. I quite like it, nothing gets stuck in there now as it just falls back out again or is easy to clean without stripping. Love the stock, top quality
