    Tikka TX1 vs CZ 457

Anyone know if they are going to bring out or have bought out a walnut Blue version of these Tikka's, if not it's going to be an easy choice for me for the next Rimfire.

I think you are on a winner either way between those two.

Yes the wee CZ has some good improvements over the 452 that I like and will be a shoo in if Tikka don't make a wood blue shortly.
I like the look of the Steyr zephyr 2 but it's a heck of a price.

Yes thought about the Anschutz, very nice to have as well, If I go that price range I'm in for the Zephyr though, just for the point of difference.

Very tempted by the Cz 457 lux, man what a looker

Nice finish on the CZ lux but pity about the laser etched billboard on the side of the stock..

The Royal seems to have that and it looks terrible, and maybe the premium in the checkering hard to tell , but has the Lux?

Also I'd love another Marlin 39A, why I traded it I'll never..........oops thats right, it morphed into the current CZ 452 American.

Have you considered a Zastava ? The one I had, was scary-accurate and beautifully finished, I straight-swopped-it for a .270 I thought I really needed

The T1X fit standard Tikka T3 centrefire stocks so finding a timber one is easy enough

I use the 16 in barrel as it’s easier around vehicles etc and a longer barrel is unnecessary for velocity

The factory suppressor is excellent but I fitted a DPT with 2 extra baffles because I felt like it

I’m nearly at 3000 rounds of subsonic and there’s been no abnormality other than about 1 in 100 shots goes supersonic

Accuracy of the T1X with CCI SV is stunning, am dialling mine a lot to 200 yards on Rabbits and 150 yards on Plovers

It’s shooting 60mm groups at 200yrds in ZERO wind

If your wanting accuracy at 300 yards just remember that 1fps difference at 300 yards = 1/4 inch of vertical

    I’m using a G1 BC of .123

This rifle supersedes my 1954 Annie Ultra Match in every way for hunting

As an aside this VX5 has been dialled furiously for well over 2000 shots and it’s still dialling perfectly, probably the hardest I have ever thrashed an elevation turret

Totally happy with the rifle and scope combo

Yep, I love my T1x (also a 16" barrel and DPT can).
Easily sub MOA at 100m with Eley Contact ammo.

Good stuff 7mm, I'm just at the time I'd prefer the Walnut Blue look, 10 maybe 15 years ago I'd be all over an accurate synthetic

If you can find a walnut T3 stock it is an accurate wood/blued, is what he is implying I think.

How many wood T3 stocks are out there? Probably not many.
