    Tikka Veil Factory Stock Weight

Weighed the stock tonight. Lighter than I expected... not a huge saving going to a CF replacement?

Should be the same, the above stock is only a factory painted T3X stock.

I found the Tikka sticks the lightest of the factory plastic stocks. A CF stock will be in the 500-600g range. So save about 1/2 a pound, sounds better than 200-300 g.

the reason you get carbonfiber stocks is for the cool factor, I mean for the structural rigidity and nah I had it right the first time.

looking at a carbon stock beside a tikka stock on my carpet currently (kimber carbon)
yeah its all how it makes you feel better and honestly for all the hype around carbons toughness the plastic stocks take a beating far better

That’s debatable the ultra light bipod has pushed my light rifle right to the raggered edge of being able to shoot it well id never even though of the effect of the weight of the bipod until shooting my rifle now cutting that 200grams off the front

Practice makes perfect, you'll refine your technique, can shoot my ultralight 300wsm incredibly well and consistent. Great fun

Yip a switch back in technique helped a lot tried to adopt a new one that wasn’t working so well gone are the days of spotting shots though at least I know now how light to aim for me . Not an issue on this one anyway as After load d I don’t shoot groups I suspect I may have over tightened my front action screw as well at 65flbs iv backed it off will shoot one last group for good measure and continue to put meat on the table I certainly noticed the jump in recoil

And the carbon one will likely fit you better, those fins have short arms
