Otherwise try some Ryan mentioned. Will keep you guys posted when I get it done. Thanks again. The Rem mag itch has been abated. ( for now )
I find that fiddling with different projectiles and powder usually fixes my itches too. At least temporarily.

@GSP HUNTER I'm certain that the .270 will do everything that you ask of it on Tahr with the ELDX or Bergers. The LongRange Accubonds are excellent but can be very frustrating to get shooting but if you want to try them I can post you some (and a few 145 ELDX too). PM me your address.

    Cheers

I will add to that I wouldn't bother with factory loaded eldx just do a ladder and see which charge weight shoots best, the eldx don't mind a bit of jump as I seat mine to mag length in 3 different sakos and all print half moa or better and at mag length they are no where near the lands.
I'll dig out my ladder for you later today just pm me to remind me @GSP HUNTER
I have never had any issue getting eldx to shoot well yet

@dannyb I too had the same experience with jumping the eldx until i started playing with my 7mm08. Mag length was pretty average accuracy wise (and huuuge jump). Tried matching the CBTO to my super accurate SST load and bingo! COL is now significantly longer than short action mag but thinking a LA mag and bolt stop will fix that. Might play with some 162 ELD-M too... Guess just goes to show all rifles have their preferences!

Thank you very much Tahr, I think you're right, if ain't broke, dont fix it analogy. A simple projectile new load intervention and he was healed ( for now )
I never wanted to become a real long ranger but would like to be able to respond to 5 % opportunities at longer range should they appear.
I'd welcome the offer mate, I'll pm you my address.
