    Tippmann Barrel Question

I'm having trouble with my Tippmann with the ultra lite barrel it has (7" barrel with a 16" sleeve) it throws flyers everywhere. I have a spare cz match barrel sitting at home and wondering if it would be worth getting made to fit? Can match barrels run a semi 22lr well? I can get a decent price on a new standard tippmann barrel but if the match barrel is going to cost the same to get machined with better accuracy results i would rather go with it. Is the idea worth chasing?

When you say throwing fliers, what dispersion are we talking about, and what level of dispersion are you requiring? Those ultralight barrels were made for shooting speed steel at close range.

The standard Tippmann barrels generally shoot exceptionally well. My one is good enough I don't think I'd bother having a better one machined to fit.

Yep but that's why I didn't bump it. I couldn't get it to group with the ammo I had so I gave it back to Don at gun supplies and he said he got an inch out of it and said that it won't be the barrel I need for the shooting I did. Then I went to the range shooting 10 shot groups and found it was bad flyers. So now I got a new rifle with a crappy barrel. Or just not what I want it for, like Beavis has mentioned, they are more for speed steel. It will be fine for closer then 25m
