buy a 10/22 with a trigger job done on it, preferably an early one with metal trigger guard etc not the polymer version

I have seen Toz 17-01 bolts (the longer type) quite often at gun shows in peoples boxes of odd gun parts.

If I see a bolt around I'll yell ya

Another excellent 22LR rifle is the Slazenger Lithgow Model 12. There's a single shot and a repeater. I grew up with the latter. My dad bought it as an 18yr old in the Air Force Cadets, Korea War era. Barrel reportedly made with WWII surplus Australian Lithgow 303 barrel stock. He held several small-bore Air-Force records with it. I still have it with original 6 rd mag and adjustable trigger. Found a genuine 10rd mag for it several years ago. Also got a couple of single shots for grandsons, like $80 each. Tackdrivers all. Open sights but very tempted to tap and drill and thread one. Love single shots

I have a 17-03 with mag and scope rings I plan on selling shortly.
It is in average condition. I only bought it as it was cheap and I wanted to ty one out but I'm not a fan of the cock on closing bolt.

They have quite a few Toz-17 parts guns. Some are a tad dearer.
