    Trademe trader defraud?

    I need some help guys.
REcently, I purchased an AR15 barrel from a Trademe trader named "re****er270" (Just in case, I hide the trader's name due to the policy).
Paid directly after hitting the buy now, and asked when he can post it, he told me he was away and will post on the working day before the Waitangi Day, then I asked for the tracking number on Waitangi Day, he told me he will post on Wednesday.
After waiting for another 2 days, this guy just disappear and not contactable any more.

At the same time, there is another buyer, which seems purchased the same day with me, also left a blue face, no goods after payment, and no emails...

Does any one know this guy? I have his name and email address only. I was trying to report his name and bank account to ANZ, but seems not enough.

10 days after I paid, I don't know what to do next.........

Thanks mate, I reported the case to trademe already, then need to wait 3-5 days, the police let me contact the seller again, and see if I can get the item... Well, that means I have to wait for more days. Not very helpful.
I contacted the bank as well, they can try to get my money back, but bank will charge me $100 to run the investigate process......

the seller is a member of this forum, he works offshore if I remember corectly-issues around hard to predict nature of this could be part of your problem.

he is not a freind, but I have delt with him a few times- and while the guy is not cut out for custermer service roles he has allways delivered what he said he would

    Hi mate,

I just looked at his tm account, and he purchased something yesterday just after the blue face feedback.
His forum account also active yesterday afternoon.
So......I have no idea why he ignores emails.

He's more than just a member.
I've bought one of his AR barrels (good barrel too) and sold him brass before.
As mentioned he does work offshore at times, so he is physically unable to send immediately.

If someone is going to sell something (anything) online with a Buy Now option, they should have something in place to send it immediately payment is made.

If they know they're not going to be in the country when the auction is going to finish, they are simply being wankers if they haven't made arrangements to send it.

I got a red face on trademe from a guy I tried to buy a tool off. Needed it that week, he was relativity local and had a buy now and pick up options listed. Hit buy now, paid immediately and emailed for the collection address.

"Sorry. I'm on holiday for a fortnight. Be back after the school holidays"

Then he got snotty when I reversed the Visa transaction and cancelled the trade. Cunt.

    How about the full story....
I didn’t have any listed because I was going away for a few days and to save my Mrs some hassle.
Buyer contacts me on the Way to airport and wants me to List. Coincidently at the same time as his mate.
Advised I was going to be away etc. they wanted anyway.
Sent out the day after Waitangi - as prior advised.
2 days later on Friday leaves blue and files non delivery with Trademe.
Looks like it was delivered yesterday after a mis-sort.

Simply - don’t buy anything off me again- don’t know if it’s the Asian factor with you and your mate but you don’t seem to grasp the ‘it’ll go out after waitangi’ as what will happen.

And then on top of slow shippers, you've got Fastway couriers!! If you pay for 1 day target, you'll get 5 day delivery! Useless c**t's

He also failed to mention receiving photos of both his and his mates courier tickets and after that filing for buyers protection from TM. His mate also did it this morning - when both confirmed as delivered yesterday...
Not sure what they trying to pull but they have the privilege of being the 1st 2 on my blacklist
