    Hi do thread adapters work and where the best place to buy need to go from 1/2x20 to 14x1 cheers

    Used one on a couple of rifles with no issues, bought from the US but one of the more common US thread size changes

    You'll be hard pressed to get that size, the core of M14x1 is 12.9mm so that leaves bugger all once you put a 1/2" (12.7mm) thread in in.

    You could get 1 made that was an extension so the internal and external threads don't interfere with each other, problem is that would add 20-25mm of length and extra wobble.
