Yes, they raise the comb of the stock, giving you a correct cheek weld with a higher mounted scope (e.g. large objective). They ship with about half an inch of velcro strips you can stick to the bottom of them to increase the height further if necessary.



Downsides? Weight (approx 150gms), they get wet, the velcro does come loose and clog with mud and so forth, and if you use your rifle for a walking stick/ice axe they won't last long.
