Considering updating the trigger on my Bergara extreme hunter. Seems a lot of options for the Rem 700 and can be quite a few to look at. Any advice on what to look at?
Cheers,
Dan

Trigger Tec Diamond and the Bix n Andy are 2 awesome triggers I've used
The trigger on my Bergara has had a wee tickle from a gunsmith and I have to say it's more than acceptable. It's definitely better than the Timney I have on one of my other rifles ...
When you say tickle what did they do?
+1 for Trigger Tech from Alpine Precision.
I have a trigger tech in my rem 700. Nice trigger, but I nearly find it too light a pull. I have it right now, but I had to wind it back to the heaviest pull it will go
I've fitted Jewell HVR's to three B14's with no issues. Also fitted a Jewell BR to another and last I heard, the owner was having no issues with it.
The Trigger Tech Diamond is a drop in - I have three of them and they are excellent triggers.
The B&A Tacsport Pro is also up there with the best available but I'm not sure which sear height you would need for the B14???
These are all expensive options and if the rifle is used for hunting, there are alternatives which will do the job well at a cheaper price.
The B14R (rimfire trigger) can be fitted with a sear adjustment screw which improves them quite a bit and is a simple job.
If I was in your shoes, I would buy a replacement and keep the factory job as a spare as even the high dollar ones do fail - I have a Jewell here right now which isn't working!
