Flush cup same as the bipod, I have 2 cups bedded into the 300wsm 1 at the end of the fore where you would use a traditional bipod and 1 just in front of the mag well for using off the tripod.

Is there a version of the Artcise CS60 that has a leveling bowl instead of a ball Head?

@gqhoon - The CS60 isn't a bowl style tripod, but Artcise does make a few - see https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002804736118.html - but you can't really retrofit a bowl to a standard tripod. Bowl head tripods have insanely high support strength - some in excess of 40kgs, so a bit of overkill for a spotting scope. They are good for supporting a rifle though, if that is what you are after.

edit: You can buy the CS60 legs only and add whatever compatible head you like. There are fluid video heads, 3 way pan tilt or a range of ballheads available.

@dannyb I looked at one of the CS60C after seeing that and 8 days later it's on my doorstep for $270 shipped. Very happy with how it seems after albeit a cursory tutu. Now to figure out where to find a pic rail qd plate that is not drug $$ expensive.

@Preacher - here is one that isn't cheap but is far from drug-dealer expensive... (so I'm told!)

Yeah that is the ones I am finding. I'm not keen on fixing the adapter to a pic rail rather a QD mount on the tripod and a small pic rail on the stock. They seem to be exorbitant for what is a simple clamp plate really

Ah, got you. That makes sense.

I do agree they should be cheaper - in the $10-20 range, but with all photo gear there seems to be stupid markups.

Upon further inspection it appears the head I have is the arca style/size clamp so a small low profile arca plate just ahead of the mag well will do what I need for now. When I eventually go to a carbon stock I will revisit the Spartan mount possibly.
