I'm not really big on levers, and the Remington pump is expensive for something that looks like something out of the bargain bin at the warehouse with QC issues to boot. While I was a little hesitant, for the reasons above it seemed like a good choice. The alternative I considered was a Tikka T3X but I just couldn't get excited about another Bolt action... At this point I hope the Troy works out to be a good addition.

Just be aware only some ar triggers will work in a PAR. Known ones that work are triggertech, Hiperfire 3g, and ALG. The hammer must be long enough to touch the pump release at the bottom of the receiver and as the hammer release 'robs' a bit of power out of the hammer you risk light primer strikes if you use reduced power springs.
