    Typhoon F-12 MAXI. Quick Review.

For those that may be interested.

I have had the shotgun just over a week now and have put around 400 rounds down the tube so far, mixture of trap loads, slugs and buck.
Build quality, fit and finish is top notch. Main upper and lower are machined from solid billet aluminium so it’s not the lightest but does have some heft.
I prefer the Maxi (longer hand guard) as it allows me to get my hand out further which I prefer
The gear supplied with the shotgun is comprehensive. ½ an hour of tinkering and I had fitted the E cat parts (Yes its E Cat), choke and comp and my Holosun red dot (Fantastic sight).
After adjusting the gas system to suit my ammo (Gun City Trap Loads) she ran like a champ and shot buck and solids well.
I am shooting super 28s currently but long term will likely go to supreme 28s which are slightly warmer.

    Modifications and other thoughts:
I swapped out the supplied E Cat stock for a FAB Shock Absorbing Buttstock which deadens the recoil to almost nothing. The one that’s supplied is fine.
I removed the safety on the RH side as it dug into my trigger finger under recoil.
I put a drop of blue lock tight on the choke and comp. They undo after 50 rounds even when done up farmer tight otherwise.
The hand guard gets really hot on a sunny day if you dump 100 rounds in quick succession. Under normal shooting conditions its fine.
Mags don’t drop out freely. I need to look as to what’s holding them up.
Mags can be a challenge to load up to max. Leaving them loaded for a few days seem to soften the springs.
The shotgun shoots flat, fast and tracks really well from target to target.

Overall I like it a lot
