person on this planet (check him out on google )) to attack the manufacturers.

I've just had an email from the States from a friend who says he checked this out on Snopes & therefor it's not true.

However my original informant said that he checked this out on a site called "Truth or Fiction" ( which I hadn't heard of before) and the story was confirmed on there.

So, who do we believe????

If my spies tend towards saying that this is NOT true??? I'll keep you posted.

Should be under the Joke section. Marlin I believe are now owned my Remington and are being produced from the Remington factories. If Marlin was shutting shop then so would Remington. And who in their right mind would buy a profitable company spending big $$ just to close it? Certainly not someone smart enough to amass the fortune to buy it.
