Using Stainless steel T304 as Tikka T3 recoil lug

This is a question for the engineers out there.
I want to make up some stainless steel recoil lugs for Tikka T3's. Mico Metals has T304 stainless steel in pretty much the right size. Is this grade of stainless OK to use as recoil lugs (I am assuming it must be stronger than the alloy Tikka ones) and might there be any corrosion issues between the lug and action that I need to be aware of?

304 is not as corrosion resistant as 316 but both will be as good or better than any of the 400 series s/steels.
both soft as shit but will be substantially stronger than even 7075 alloy.
300 series s/s are prone to cracking in repeated movements but in that application Im picking it would still be far superior to alloy.

304 and 316 have very similar tensile strength to 7075-t6, 7075-t6 has higher yield.
The stainless just bends more before it breaks.

EDIT: 304 will be fine to use.

I will buy one off you when you get them sorted.

I don't know how well they will replace the factory ones. I will use them in my carbon fibre stocks and will "glue" them to the action when I bed the action into the stock. This way the height/fit will be right. I think if you just slide them into the slot in the plastic stock they may or may not be the right height.
