Varmint rifle for about that 350m max range?

Hi all just looking for some advice on a suitable calibre for around this range, biggest intended target would be a goat (I have a 270 @Ryan songhurst to take care of the deer) but most likely hares, rabbits and peacocks would see the bulk of the work. I dont plan on reloading at this stage. Any help appreciated

    Handload for 200+m

Save up for a thermal scope

    You won’t look back

Think Ruger, takes the AR type mags

Shooting those ranges all day with boring gear and boring ammo.

Just decide where you want to put the effort in. At work, or behind the rifle.

Just use the 270 , if you can hit a rabbit with it you sure as hell wil be able to hit a deer .

If your not reloading 223 is by far the most sensible option.

+1 for 204's. What can you stretch it out to? Further than a 223 shooting 50-60 gr pills as it will be effected by the wind less. Also they seem to make less noise and have less recoil for seeing impacts @ higher magnification...

204 as well. You could go 22-250 but the 204 does the same with less recoil and a bit less noise( if shot suppressed).
