    Vintage Swarovski 3-9x36 scope

hi guys. I bought a rifle that has an old Swarovski 3-9x36 on it. it's got a bunch of paint rubbed of so its well used. any opinions on these, how do they compare with more modern scopes?

I've got one that's around 25-30 years old plenty of marks on the out side but still clear and a great scope.
Another fourm member is borrowing it at the moment so it's still going well.
    Mine has a fine reticle

Back in 89 I was in a small bore rifle club.
Did a shoot at Reefton and one of the Reeftonites came to see one of there mates there and they had a rifle for show and tell.
First 7mm08 I'd ever seen on a CMC (very early Howa sort of) with a Swarovski habicht scope on it. We're looking up the main drag of Reefton as you could do back in them days.
Hands down the clearest scope I can remember looking through. It was clearer than my own eyes.
Just so bloody crystal clear and sharp
I will be fair and say I haven't had many really good scopes of my own, or mate's either to compare it to, but it was pretty impressive

thanks guys. I only picked up the rifle a few days ago and took the scope off right away so havent had a chance to look through it next to anything else to compare. years ago I sold a couple 3x9 meoptas... before I knew what I had... sold them for peanuts too

Yeah well on closer inspection that scope I'd say it's buggered. It's snuffed it
I will under great duress take it off your hands for disposal and also offer you some more peanuts and just so you aren't toohard done-by even a pie.
