    Vixen optics

I was a scope short and need a basic 16x side focus scope
    For my 204
I have a mate who has a vixen 4-16sf on his hmr
And rates it very highly for the price he has a very high Expectation of scopes aswell owning several high dollar optics
These are a very reasonable price about $450 for a 4-16 side focus depending on shop
    Made in Japan

So today i bit the bullet and ordered one which I should receive next week

I could do a review if anyone is interested in my thoughts on them when it arrives

Also anyone had any experience with vixen as I know they are Relatively new to the market in nz

Good reviews in Australia I was going to buy one and send it home to NZ before the stupid import law was introduced so will be very interested in your review.

    I've got a Vixen in 3-12x40.

It replaced an old leupold Vari-X II; far far better in low light, and more usable field of veiw to the edges.

My Euro supplier had this Brand 2 years ago
I will ask him about them if he can still get
Check out Delta from Japan - might be comparable price wise and they are very good Scopes for the money - so I have been told

I was tossing up between a Vixen and a Vortex viper 3.5-10 x 50 a couple of years back. Got a deal on the Vortex so went with that but wondering if anyone has both and is there much difference?

I can very close to buying a vixen 111 2.5-15 but preferred the leupold dial system and zero lock. The glass on the vixens is fantastic. Another brand I looked through was the Stryka(have a feeling that is a delta) as a mates has the 2.5-15 on his 223 and that is amazing in low light

@Sarvoid be interested to see what the price Difference is between the Series1,2 and 3 vixen scopes
I know the one ive ordered is the basic model (series 1) which is a good thing in a way because if it’s good the more expensive ones can only get better because we all know you get what ya pay for

Vixen don’t have any scopes on the website the only specs I could get were from stores selling them
Only thing I can see from specs I don’t quite like is the Series 1 only has 36 moa of adjustment on Elevation and windage
Should be fine on the 204 though if I was looking for a lower end long range scope I would want more

It would be interesting to see that the higher end models have

Yes - I could get the Vixen as my chap sold many up until 2-3 years ago and he then found the Delta Titanium (made in same factory in Japan he thought as the Vixen) took over as my favored
I will get back here with prices as soon as I receive them
