I just read that they have a lifetime transferrable warranty too. I must have previously missed that in the blurb.
see if you can maybe get your hands on 1 & take your elite along to compare side by side & maybe also compare something like a burris fullfield which is also one of the better quality lower priced scopes like your elite. hopefully that'll help you decide if the vixen suits you, you may find you hate it.. everyone's different ..but i really haven't heard much bad about them. realistically there aren't too many exciting options out there in that price bracket.(lowest price i found was $419 for the 3-12).
Got my 3-12 for $426 inc freight from Scope U Out.
Hiya; any more first hand experiences with the Vixen scopes? I'm still pretty keen to try one but still like to hear any more user experiences. Sorry to revive an older thread, but thought that it's good to have the info in one spot. Thanks :)
I have been using my 3-12 regularly on a 10/22. The scope doesn't "feel" very solid but it is light weight and I can't fault it's performance.
I've got the 3-12x40 BDC on my 308. Does a brilliant job for a $420 scope. Great picture and sharp around the edges.
Also have the 2-8x32 BDC on my 22lr.
Great lightweight scopes and very good value!
Got to be the lightest and most compact in this magnification range.
I have the Vixen v111 2.5-15x50 with an illuminated BDC10 reticle that will be putting on my Tikka elite 6.5cm L/H action I will do a bit of a review on the Viven when I heal a bit more and do some more load development to find the 1 recipe [powder and projectile] go to load that I can load when I need more so far 143ldx and win760 and am getting close to 2800fps what other powders are you guys using? it has been hard getting powder thanks to covid lucky I had quite a bit of 760 that I used for my 8x68s cal Weatherby mk5 that I no longer own. seems to work ok.
My 6.5CM loves anything to do with ADI2209. Can't get it to shoot a bad group with it.
