    Vortex

I try an avoid vertical split rings, we just don't like each other but I made an exception because the warnes for the 550cz fit the wide dovetails on the BSA. Given my dislike it may have been self fulfilling but I over tightened them and crushed the tube on the diamond back scope. Everything still worked but the paralex free distance went from 100yds to under 50. A quick email to vortex with a full admission of the damage had an exchange under way and today a brand new 4-12 turned up on the courier free of all charges. Outstanding service

I was looking at the Viper 4-16 illum or the loopy VX6 3-18 for a floater between my barrels if I ever need a back up LR scope. I dont want to spend millions on a spare. Just want a reliable one.

Do some people never learn? Scopes do not need to be done up with that much force. You should be doing them up firmly. Big difference between "firm" and "hanging off the allen key with all your weight".

Vortex have the best warranty in the business i reckon. Good shit.
