    After initially looking at Vortex, I ended up with one of these:
    https://us.hawkeoptics.com/endurance...ing-scope.html have a look at a few comparisons and they stand up pretty well. Not super light at just under 900gms, but balances out with the price.

    Looks like nearest equivalent at NZ distributor here:
    https://www.photowarehouse.co.nz/sho...angled-viewing comparable price to Vortex.
