    Vortex Diamondback Riflescopes

    Does anyone have one?

How do they track? I am thinking of putting one on my 7mm08 to dial out to 400yrds.

They look like a good quality scope for the money... Also, I like the idea of low capped turrets that I can use only for the occasional dialed shot.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated!

Using one on my .308 2-7x35
Nice and clear for the price and field of view is great.
Certainly feel like a good solid scope. Fast focus eye piece I found moved around a lot last weekend so will have to tape it but other than that Im quite happy with it.

As for tracking, haven't used it much but when sighting in the clicks were true to POI change if that means anything and they are very tactile and clear precise clicks.

Awesome mate. Thats the sort of info I was after. Is difficult because can't just walk down to h+f and play with one!!

I might take a punt on the 4-12 I think

Like Makros, I have the 2-7x35 on my .308, I have the Dead Hold BDC reticle.
Bought it over a Leupold 2-7 power scope.

Perfect size to just fit over the rear iron sight.

I've got one. Reasonable for the money. I lose shooting light 10-15 min before better scopes, and it's slightly low in contrast at full zoom, but otherwise it's a decent scope, image seems clear enough. Reticle is okay, not as thin as some, might be about half MOA - roughly covers a 1" dot on a 200yd target. Perfectly fine for hunting.

Turrets good and clicky, zeroing/dialing seems reliable, I quite like mine. I shipped it in for about $300, and I think I'd have to spend over $500 to get anything noticeably better.

You won't get 1 off the distributor as they only sell wholesale.
Geoff at Shooters Supplies on Riccarton Road will get you a scope in if you want.

I went through The Optic Zone, I've found them pretty good. Got rings and mounts at the same time, made the shipping cost a bit better.

Ive just brought in a Diamond back 4-12x40 with the BDC. Its looks to be pretty clear and bright. On my initial tests of the turrets, they do seem nice and positive, with good solid clicks. They are marked in MOA, and can be reset to zero after zeroing the rifle. I have dialed 20 moa up and back to zero and it returns to same POI, same with Windage.

Reasonably compact scope, not too heavy. I think with the combination of the BDC and turrets that seem like they will offer repeatable dialing, it should be a good option for people looking at a low priced scope to get into shooting at extended ranges.

I have mounted it on my model 7 260 Rem, and plan on using it for mostly shorter range bush type hunting, but have the ability to use reticle or dial for any longer shots that may present.

We will be having a long range gong shoot after easter, so will put it thru its paces, happy to report how it goes.

Landed it here for about $270NZ from OpticsPlanet, bloody cheap - Never got my free Vortex cap tho :-(

I have 2 of the 4-12x40 have dialled and shot deer out to 475 with both of the scopes
Glass is better than my leupold vx3 4.5-14x40 scope.
Better clarity and way better light gathering.
I really rate them. Lifetime warranty can't go wrong!!
