I had no issues at all with the 3 Gen I's I had.
I also have a Razor HD Gen I which is rather nice as well.
Drop me a PM if you want to know more... Cheers Craig
@Double Shot in your eyes what ways are they better than the Gen 1? I've used a few Gen 1s and a HST and whilst the turrets were great, the glass is not.
Is the glass quite a bit step up? Are the new turrets just as good/better than the old ones?
How does the Gen 2 compare to the Razor Gen 1?

I have heard mutterings that the glass is the same as or equivalent to the Gen 1 Razors. They certainly look like an improvement over the first PST's.

Hey @Beetroot, to answer your questions...

The glass is certainly a step up, myself I really liked my Gen I's but these are better. The glass is Razor HD Gen 1 Quality if not better (this of course comes down to individuals eyes, I've used some scopes that are quality but my eyes hated them)
The turrets are far better, lower for one, bigger, more precise a much nicer system and use the Razor Zero Stop.
There are parts of both the Gen I/Gen II Razor in the PST Gen II, I think Vortex have lifted their game on these.
Really need to see for yourself and form your own opinion.
More than happy for you to view them mate if no shop has them near you. PM me.
Moving to Tauranga in the coming weeks.

Of course there'll always be haters but that's cool, I'm impressed and think they are worth the money.

    Cheers C

The new Nikon Black 1000 looks a good scope.

I've always been impressed by the glass and turrets on my previous Nikon scopes.

These black scopes look a nice bit of kit for the medium priced long range scope.

I have a Viper PST Gen 1, Viper HS, and a Diamondback and like them all. A few people give the Vortex a bad rap but for there price and warranty( if needed) they are good value for money. I like what people are saying about the Gen 2 PST sounds as if they are better again than the older models.

but prefer the turrets on the vortex and tac, though I think you can swap out some of the S111 turrets to the uncovered ones , they advertise them on the web sight.
I probably dpon't need the higher may range really though I admit there have been times when I would have liked more than the 12x I currently have .
Fair enough each to there own a. The ones at deadeye dick are uncovered. me mates ones are all uncovered. nice glass to.
