    My Viper 4x16 PST is reasonably tight to turn but ok, I have just got a Viper HS and that is better, tightish but turns easier than PST. The Diamond back turn easily. No problem with any yet.
    If it is to tight send it back the warranty Is meant to be first class.

    Have you considered getting a switchview lever? I have one on mine and it's great! It's manageable without but it certainly helps a lot. Would be a cheaper fix than selling to buy a new scope.

    I have three Vortex scopes and they are all tight. Fitted a swing lever to all of them and all is good. Each one of mine has an optimum power setting depending on the gun it is on. I have set the levers up so that they are vertical when at the optimum power setting. You can play to your hearts content and then always return it to the optimum setting without looking at the scale [which I cannot see anyway unless I have my reading glasses on - old age is a bitch!]

    That is one thing i am trying to work out at the moment, the orientation. I am trying to get the lever in a position so that in the normal areas (6-24x50 PST) 6x, 8x, 16x & 24x there is no/minmal issues with the lever obscuring the view of the elevation or windage turret.

    Was it tight before you fitted it to the rifle? If not then maybe the rings are too tight or close to the power adjustment ring and causing it to bind. Had that problem before. Anyway just a thought.
