    Vortex Strike Eagle

Gidday, has anyone had a play with the Vortex Strike Eagle in 5 - 25, 34 mm tube?

Looks like a decent lower-mid range scope with plenty of elevation etc. Looked up a few reviews on Youtube and they seem to do the business just fine, they track well, have zero stop.

Is there anything else on the market here in NZ worth looking at? I normally use Leupold but the prices have all jumped up.

It'll just be for a Bergara HMR in 6.5 Needmore for my wife who enjoys long range target shooting.

I have one, great scope for the money, and a great warranty.

I got one - supplied by Ken. Very happy with it.

In terms of what could be better - the parallax is very stiff but I think it will wear in over time. And the turrets are not as positive as say for example the Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16, but I can live with it.

But for what you pay it is really good value for money.

The new Athlon midas tac 5-25 (34mm tube 32mil adjustment)is better quality glass and turrets than the strike eagle but is a little more money.

There is a thread on Longrangehunting forum at the moment about them, one guy has sent it back twice now and the third one he received is still not tracking right.https://www.longrangehunting.com/thr...ailure.247250/
A guy at the range has put one on his 22, looks alright.

If you are seeing Ken, I'd also be looking through a Arken Optics EP4 6-24X50. I have a 4-14 version, and the glass is mint, and it dials well. Has a zero stop, FFP etc.
