After taking the advice and address sent to me by another member, I contacted a person at Vortex. He was polite and helpful and wanting to resolve my issue. I explained my experience with Retravision and pointed out several members on here have had the same poor service. He's tried to join the forum but has not been successful as yet. He's been with Vortex for 22 years and wants to sort any issues. After a few emails he asked what was needed here and I said a point of call for NZ customers. He said any warranty or any issue for him to be contacted directly and I'll give his address at the end of this. This still doesn't give us anyone in the country to send stuff and maybe follow up with him.
At this stage I offered to help in any way I could. I'll point I would in not in anyway be receiving any payment, product or merchandise. Like wise promote or distribute any such items. Or provide repair servicing. He asked what I believe was needed and all I can think of is a few loan scopes of popular models and sizes etc to be sent out at his discretion from a central location here and returned after use as it's always going to take turn around time for warranty work to be done. Thinking you would only do a send once a month or so to make freight worth while? I know nothing about sending or receiving international mail , so not so sure I'm even the right person for the job? But we need someone here it would seem if we want service.
So I'll ask what he did and that is what's needed and if anybody thinks they are better suited than me then please step up(please please). I view it as just helping fellow shooters not a business. Here's your chance to ask a manufacturer what you want and give suggestions on their product and service. In the interim this is the man to get hold of for any issues or problems or can offer yourself as an intermediary in stead of me.
