    Vtp modular chassis

Anyone have any experience with one of these? Looking at putting my howa mini 223 in one. How do they compare to the likes of the excl lite?

Unfortunately the budget doesn't stretch that far

I have a few VTP chassis

    Em332 norinco
    Wmr jw norinco
    223 zastava

All been prototypes and then hes done a few mods and changes to make them modular.
    Very good design.
I bash my rifles about doing pest control and they're all handling it fine.

That last pic was the original jw wmr chassis. Its now all modular. Basically now looks the same as the zastava in the 2nd pic

They have a little bit. Nothing that affects what I do with them.
Mostly in the long forend when a bipod is on. Loading up the bipod can make the forend flex.
I have extra long forends though to suit my handling style. I don't use them in bipod that much to be honest though. I'm either shooting off a shooting frame or off a long walking stick/shooting pole

    Good write up.

I've treated mine hard doing the pest control duties. Bounced around on rifle racks on quads and in the truck. Used as bush bashers as well.
The first of the WMR forend broke on my son when he used a bipod, not sure how he managed to do that.... and I had a buttstock break when it fell on a rock. But these where prototypes so we wanted to know how they'd stand up to abuse.
Aiden has made them stronger since and I haven't had any other issues.
Yes, being plastic 3d printed they're not as stiff or robust as an alloy chassis that no one else makes or if they did would cost 20x as much.

Aiden is the only 1 making a chassis system for the rifles I own, which was the biggest thing for me, and he is great to deal with which makes it easy.

For price point and function they're hard to beat.

I was in the same boat with the Ruger, for some reason there are limited upgrades available.

Aiden has always been great to deal with and like you say price and function are tough to beat.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VTP.
