    Vudoo Gunworks V-22 22LR

Thought some of you might be interested in this.

I had been thinking for a while that it would be nice to have an economical (to run) 22LR trainer for long range steel and practical/steel match comps. I've had a few different 22LR's including a Sako Quad with a custom True Flite barrel and have looked at the likes of Anshultz etc from time to time as well, but thought there must be something out there that more closely matched my centrefire rifle. Then I stumbled upon www.vudoogunworks.com

What I immediately liked was that I could use the same trigger and stock/chassis as my centrefire and also the mag's are AICS pattern which is the same as my comp rifle.

The closest agent is Rhinosport in Australia, after I had justified to myself the cost was worth it I placed an order in about June last year and finally received my barrelled action on Friday. I believe it's the first one to come into NZ.

I haven't decided what stock/chassis it will eventually go in, but for now I've put it in my comp rifle chassis and it has the same TriggerTech Diamond trigger that I have in that rifle too. After a quick sight in I started testing various ammo at 50m to hopefully narrow down the choices to a few to test at longer ranges. To save me posting a heap of photos of groups I've compiled the results into a spreadsheet which I'll post a pic of in the next post. Other than a couple of 15 and 20 shot groups, all the groups were 10 shot at 50m, measured centre to centre. I put approx 670 rounds through the rifle yesterday! Average group size was just over .51" - with the best being .23" and worst .83". Best ammo was the most expensive... Eley Tenex.

The rest of the details of the build are:
    20" "Kukri" contour Bartlein barrel
    DPT supressor
    TriggerTech Diamond trigger
    KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis
Athlon Ares 4.5-27 FFP mil scope
20 MOA rail plus Burris Tactical rings with 25 MOA inserts. Should allow me to dial out to around 370m before I need to holdover.

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more
